Maitreya Completed on the 28th March 1999 Expected the unexpected, for the best has yet to come. Just when I thought origami complexity has reached its climax, here comes another model by Takeshi Hojyo which displays holiness. This model of the Maitreya is not as well folded as I expected it to be, due to the lack of time for practice. This is my 6th attempt with A3 paper, the crown and face broke everytime I was near completion. I spent a week in camp folding it, probably added up 3 hours. Dragon Head Completed on the 1st Feb 1999 This dragon head is the second model in my gallery collection that is folded from a rectangle. Designed by Fumiaki Kawahata, I managed to fold it in about 2 hours from the rectangle derived from an A4 size paper. Eastern Dragon Completed on the 27th May 2001 Lo and behold! I think enough has been said about the ever increasing complexity of modern origami. I'm sure many are in awe of this Eastern Dragon created by Satoshi Kamiya. This model took me 3 weeks to fold, totalling up to over a 100 hours. Firstly, there was the drawing and enlarging of the crease pattern, followed by the cracking of it, and finally it's production. This majestic beast was folded from a single sheet of 1 metre square paper and stands at about 22 cm tall. It was my umpteenth attempt, which finally succeeded. The efforts and resources was too high a price to pay for the satisfaction. My advice is, don't try unless you are ready to sacrifice. Gandalf Completed on the 26th March 2003 Written on 2nd April This model was completed a week ago, today is 2nd April and my school has officially declared 2 weeks of delay for the exams. So, I'm taking this chance to update my website and let you guys know how much I appreciate your comments on my guest book!!! This fascinating character created by Satoshi Kamiya has eluded me long enough, and with its publication in tanteidan. It made my dream come true. One of the rare humanoids on my site, this is one of the better jobs I have done, if you look close enough, you should see the shadow of his eyes, nose and mouth hidden within his beard. This model took me 4 hours to complete. One ring to rule them all. High Heels Completed on the sometime in 2001 Written on 2nd April This is a very old model by Deg Farrelly, finished it years ago, but only decided to complete editing the picture together with Gandalf.
